Windows in the Czech Republic

I just realized that this photo, of a window in the castle of Jindřichův Hradec, which I took in January of 2006, was featured in a new Flickr gallery called “Windows in the Czech Republic.” I’ve always liked this photo – the light and features of the castle were very stark that day, and the color is still rich here despite the bright white of the walls. The symmetry of the shot also appealed. Unfortunately I lost that camera shortly after completing my fieldwork and its replacement hasn’t been as good. In case, have a look at more windows in the Czech Republic here.
